Hanging

thought about cropping but as I like the holder for apples in one side and the golden spot of a Yellowhammer in the other I left it like this.In the middle it is a Great Spotted Woodpecker. If you use the Yellowhammer-link (click on the loudspeaker in the link) you can  listen to it. In Sweden we say that it sounds like it's counting "one two the four five six seven" (in swedish ofcourse, fits better to the song) .

What a lovely shot Christina, the "yellowhammer' looks so tiny.

I take it that the Yellowhammer is the little blob top left but what is the beautiful bird actually feeding. I also love the applebin! I thought that the yellow blob was a Swedish Pixie or somesuch! Beautiful shot!

Nice capture of the two different birds! I had a woodpecker in my yard for a few days. I live in NYC, so this was really rare. I thought at first it was somebody doing construction, until I spotted him high up on a telephone pole doing his thing. I managed to get him on video on my 3rd morning, but the shot is from much further away.

I really love that woodpecker. I would love to visit you and watch your backyard feeders for a while. Around here, the Yellowhammer is a type of woodpecker. It readily lives in yards, and it is very loud.

Lovely shot, and I like the Yellowhammer watching the woodpecker.

A wonderful shot! I'm glad you didn't crop. The Yellowhammer watching is great. That woodpecker is so striking and in such a cool pose. You got his eye so sharp

I love him! I have never seen one like him before!
