In the park next to temple of Heaven in Peking people do all sorts of exercise. Lot's of them are physical but they also just get together talking, playing card or games, sings, knits and lots of other things. As this man who writes poems with water. On the City Wall in Xi'an. This wall is one of the best preserved city walls in China. It was founded during the Tangdynastin (618-907). It is 12 meters high and 12 meters wide, surrounding the old town. It has four majestic gates, Anyuan (harmony) in the north, Changle (eternal happiness) in the east, Yongning (eternal peace) in the south and Anding (harmony and peace) in the west.

Fancy chopsticks at dinnertime? In China that's what you get. I use such at home when I have sushi so it's no news for me. If you have trouble you can use the kids version (only for foreigners I guess, chinese kids have normal but shorter chopsticks). Brought some home anyway, just for fun. And, if you find it impossibel, you can get a fork instead even in China

Must be seen enlarged. From last weekends concert with Bryan Ferry at Dalhalla. It was my first visit and it was amazing to se this place. Dalhalla is an amphitheatre in a former limestone quarry and used as a summer music venue. The quarry is 60 metres deep, 400 metres long and 175 metres wide. It was opened in 1995 and has 4000 seats. The acoustical qualities are comparable to the best outdoor stages in Europe.

Some of the more modern colors of the horses. However, the shape of the horses and the painted pattern is exactly the same as the original. Enlarge to se the details. Guess it's boring for those who paints......

Imagine sitting in the middle of the store, painting exactly the same pattern with constant spectators. I don't know how long each person stays in the shop before going back to the studio.

In Visby (city of Gotland, Swedens biggest island) they put those in the street to stop cars from passing. The shape is from the sheep that comes from Gotland. They all have those big horns.

This is as close as I will ever get to a live wild bird. This one hit one of my windows and after consulting friends and books I found out it's a Common Cuckoo. I always thought all of them as grey. We hear them a lot around here butr I don't think ary of us have seen one. However this one is stuck with me until a person from the animal rescue turns up tomorrow. Ofcourse there are no insects around when I need them...

My lunch today: Omelett with tomato&cheese and smoked reindeer. Picked some cherries in the garden for dessert, very small ones but luxury for me as I can't walk so much yet after my surgery. Lot's of blueberries in the woods otherwise and some people found chanterelles to.

The motherplant of this has been in a friends family for a very long time. i recently got a plant from it ans I was worried it would not survive so now I'm very happy as this one turned up. It's lovely and its huge, 17 cms (about 7inch) across. Unfortunately Hibiscusflower only last for a day or two. Visit Macro Monday

Here is mine, at least for now as I must sit with my feet up high and that's why the table stands as it does. As I'm supposed to be there for a while I have to surround me with things I might need. Things such as painkillers, books, papers, cameras, phones , remotes for radio and TV and my compulsory glass of water, today scented with lime and lemon balm.

I musy say though that it's easier to do that on someone else.... but I managed and I'm quite proud of that

This is what my feet look like after yesterdays surgery. Had bunion surgery (we call it Hallux valgus) done on both feet. As I will be immobilised for a while I might catch up with both posting (if I got any photos to show besides my feet ..) and most of all start commenting again.
