The letter B - Big Event, Scenic Sunday, SOOC Sunday

In the older days letting out the cows for the season was a common weekday event. Today with less farms around it's a big even. There were about 3000 spectators and a TV channel was there

However it's a great sight when those big heavy cows rush out in the field for the season, happy to be out in the sun with fresh grass to eat. This farm is an agiculture school. More photos from this event can be seen on my other blog http://havsutsikten.blogspot.com/.

How interesting that this is a spectator event. I guess we love all the various signs of spring's arrival.

It's like school letting out for summer vacation with all the kids running out the doors! I would imagine those are some very, very happy cows.

And it still looks like a huge event..for both the people and the cows!

I remeber reading in a novel that cows in Scandanavia were kept in all winter; I didn't realize this was still true.

That is a big event! I appreciate your photos and commentary as it not that way where I live (and we have lost many of our farms as well in the Northeast).
