Lunchtime

My lunch today: Omelett with tomato&cheese and smoked reindeer. Picked some cherries in the garden for dessert, very small ones but luxury for me as I can't walk so much yet after my surgery. Lot's of blueberries in the woods otherwise and some people found chanterelles to.

I would love to have some of those cherries.

Your food photos are fabulous, but smoked reindeer was quite a surprise, but then again, you can buy kangaroo meat here in Oz so that might surprise some people too.

Great lighting and presentation...makes me want to taste some.

Lovely composition of your omelet. Looks healthy and tasty.
Glad you are getting around a bit more - soon your surgery will be just a memory.

Smoked reindeer! Not something you'll find in a supermarket in the US (too many kids sobbing in the aisles about how Santa's gonna make it if the reindeer have been smoked!) Is it common in Sweden? What does it taste like?

Just a little smoked reindeer on the side....apparently common for your lunch but quite uncommon here! I don't know that I've ever eaten anywhere, even the places which specialize in "exotic" foods serving smoked reindeer. Your plate certainly looks wonderful though!
